The process

From first question to consultation

We've made accessing a doctor simple and legal, so you can focus on feeling better.

Step 01

Answer simple questions

Tell us about your condition and the treatments you've tried. It takes around two minutes and it's free.

Step 02

Find out your eligibility

We review your answers and let you know whether you're likely to be eligible to see a doctor about plant-based treatment.

Step 03

Consult with a doctor

If you choose to, we connect you with a registered doctor for a telehealth consultation. The doctor decides what's appropriate for you.

FAQs

Common questions

Is this legal in Australia?

Yes. Since 2016, Australian doctors have been able to prescribe unapproved plant-based medicines through pathways regulated by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), such as the Special Access Scheme and Authorised Prescriber Scheme. Medicines are dispensed by licensed pharmacies.

Who is likely to be eligible?

Generally, adults with an ongoing (chronic) condition lasting three months or more, where conventional treatments haven't provided enough relief or have caused unacceptable side effects. Ultimately, eligibility is a clinical decision made by the doctor.

Will I definitely get a prescription?

No. A consultation alone does not mean you will be prescribed anything. The doctor will help you understand what is most suitable for you, which may include other treatment options.

Do I need a referral from my GP?

No referral is needed. You're welcome to share relevant medical records, and with your permission the doctor can keep your regular GP informed.

Can I drive?

It's illegal in all Australian states and territories to drive with THC in your system, even with a prescription. Your doctor will explain what this means for you. Products containing only CBD are treated differently, but you should never drive if you feel impaired.

How is my information protected?

We comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988. Your information is only used to arrange a consultation with a medical practitioner and isn't shared with anyone else without your consent. See our privacy policy.
